Nope. They have a shutter door in the projector which retains the high beam functionality.

Hard to believe, but from you pics it looks like the ebay projectors are 10x better, and that's only with halogen bulbs!

Every connector I had on my truck plugged right into these headlights. Nothing extra, no splicing, no issues.

I'm assuming you had the dual headlights on your truck, not the quads?

I'm also really surprised by the light output of those; nice!!

If you have had FX-Rs, you will not be happy with the output of halogen projectors.
Now JJ can set you up with some FX-R'd '13s. That'd be the ticket!

I would go with chrome headlights, or paint your grill to match the truck, and do a sick 2 tone '13 headlight. Ungodly amounts of $$ (to me anywho) but MAN it'd be badass & custom!

A Longhorn is going to come with quad headlights, not duals.

Yea i figured as much... The only reason i ask is because i was looking up the eagle eye projectors on Ebay and couldn't find any compatible with quad lamps. Just wanted to know if a different wiring harness had to be used?

Quads and duals are swappable without ANY harness.

Here's why.....

Duals - H13 bulb. Truck's OEM harness is H13, plugs right in.
Quads - has a built in splitter from H13 --> H11/9005. H13 plugs right to the truck's harness.

Those eBay jokers have no damn clue what they are selling......and the amount of sales they lose because of it just makes me laugh. Poor marketing....:boxing:

I like the headlights, black is a good color inside headlights, chrome makes some lights look to flashy.

I decided to change the black headlights to chrome. I think it fits my truck better for the time being. I also installed a Morimoto 3Five 35Watt 5k H9 HID kit with the Can-Bus and relay harness. The headlights are the same as what I bought before, however I got these for $159. The only issue that these had compared to the black ones is that the pair I received did not have a resistor for the turn signal, so it was hyper flashing. I bought two 50 watt, 6 ohm resistors off of eBay and solved that issue. These are the "Transformer" edition headlights which isn't something I really wanted, for for the price it was hard to pass up considering I paid $216 for the black set. I also figured if I retrofitted FX-R's, then I was further ahead. These projectors actually are not half bad with HID's.

The only thing I think I'm going to do is switch from an H9 Morimoto bulb to a H11B Morimoto bulb. That should eliminate the shadowing I'm getting. It will hurt my high beam performance a little bit, but I'm fine with that since I use low beams about 99% of the time.

Same headlights, with an H9 halogen bulb as I was running last week:

looks like a weird cat eye! LOL

Spiffy though, can't wait til you bounce into the FX-Rs on them. Hit me up when you are ready, we resell TRS parts - saving you a few bucks on whatever you need. Even if its not on my site, I can get it!
