Hey everyone, new here and on my 3rd Ram and this time I went very simple since I didn't have a big trailer anymore and it was just for lighter towing and nothing crazy heavy in the bed so I just wanted something on the more simple side and didn't need all the bells and whistles.

I moved from Texas to Washington state and dark nights in TX I started thinking I should of upgraded the headlights with the long dark stretches. Now that I'm in the Pacific Northwest and it's dark all the time it seems I think I am ready for a headlight upgrade.

My question is who are the key players and what should I be looking into? My Ram is a very base model and I like that since I didn't need tons of features and tons of wires giving me problems since I plan to keep this truck until it is not worth fixing anymore but I maintain it top notch and think I'll have it a while.

It's only a 4.7 and basically the low end model and I love it but now want to upgrade lights.

Long way around, what's wrong with LED? I'm trying to maintain the same housings but people who I think just know terminology from online say I should only go with HID. I'm not opposed to it but from researching headlight revolution's LED kit. Looks like a nice upgrade without a bunch that goes with it and a nice upgrade.

Anyone heard of the company with any good or bad experiences with them?

Thanks! Now that it's been paid off a while I'd like to mod it a little here and there for the areas that make sense.

Thank you all, especially if any info on these arise or a competitive other brand. Looking forward to tweak a few things I hope to keep it a fully useful truck that's not wasting money on parts that I don't need.

Welcome.

Opt7 seems to be the popular led lights on here. I've read where many members are happy with them and they are definitely better than stock.

I use HID's and love them,

I know that a lot of guys are running LEDs.......and I have done some testing on them - from all the bulbs we've played with......they just don't have the same (or anywhere close) to the output of HIDs.

If you are interested in a great set of HIDs for your Ram, its what we specialize in! Check our site, this is the direct link for your truck - https://shop.retroshop.us/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=4GD.HIDs

Do you not have a HID kit for '15 with quad lights? All I can find in the website is '13-' 14.

I've said it before and will say it again ...if you are going to run HID''s ...get with The Retro Shop.... my only regret is I didn't start there, when I bought my set of headlights, cause I thought they cost to much.... and of course ran into problems, which JJ solved (thanks again), unmatched quality and customer service.

Morimoto LED bulbs were great when I had the quad lights in my 09. But ever since switching to JJs HID in my projector its well worth it. If you dont mind spending a bit, I suggest buying the projectors and HID drop in kit from JJ. You wont be disappointed and everything wired is minimal. If you're on a budget, just know your housing with HID will cause lots of glare to oncoming drivers, LEDs wont be as bad cause they aren't as bright. Just my two cents

Agree with the above. I do however recommend you getting projectors either retro fitted to your quads or swapping to the OEM style projectors if you are going to be running the HIDs. Otherwise you're gonna be that guy blinding everyone on the road lol. HIDs function the best inside a projector and not a reflector housing. JJ also sells a plug and play adapter to complete the swap if you opt to go the stock projectors route vs retro fitting quads. His customer service is great as all have previously stated and he is a phone call or text away if you have any questions.

JJ and Retroshop with HID all the way. No other reasonable option.
