I have a 2009 crew cab slt, 4.7 engine. I have the 17" wheels. I need to replace my tires. i want A/T, but a little bigger than the ones on there now. Has anyone gone with a bigger tire? How big? I do not want a rub, I put larger ones on my Bronco II in the days and loved them.

thanks,
Wade

Might try askin over in the 4th gen section. However I believe on 3rd gen you can run 35's with a level no problem, maybe a few without. Dunno if it transfers over like this to the 4th though. Best of luck!

2wd or 4wd would matter too.
I run a 285/70/17, roughly a 33" tire. Kelly Safari Trex.
Its on an 01 but this well help in determining the look you want for meat of the tire

I'm sure you can go a little bigger, just not sure how much. The stock tires on my 4x4 were just about 33's.

285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers A/T on the rims you had. I have the same truck just a quad cab instead of crew. same specs as wermbangs tires. the pic is with my leveling kit but they fit on there before just fine without rubbing.
