So, I ordered a Bakflip VP like a century ago, it is Bakflip's brand new tonneau cover, it folds up like the rest of the bakflips but it is covered with one solid piece of vinyl so it looks like one piece. Well the exciting news is when I get home from work tonight it will be sitting at my door. I can't wait to get it on the truck and see what it looks like, pics to come!

Sounds fancy haha is it the same strength as the f1??

I don't think so, its similar to the orginal bakflip. It is constructed of aluminum panels with vinyl glued to them is my understanding, I'm a little worried about dents to be honest.

Dude, I know your thread is the reason I'm worried about dents...

Haha well it was some pretty ridiculous hail, so hopefully you don't get that around your area! I've never seen hail that big before

I would be worried about the vinyl tearing or such at the fold point, I would imagine bakflip worked this out already. Post some pics once you get it on.

Finally! So I didn't realize that Fedex doesn't deliver on Monday's so to my dismay last night I never got my bed cover. But it just came this morning and I went home at lunch and put it on. I like it so far there are a few issues though. For one I can't use the struts that hold it up for hauling as they are too long. Also the vinyl is pinched on one of the folds, and the painted rails and back metal piece is scratched up...

But here are some pics for you all.

I think that vinyl where it's been pinched will smooth out after being out in the sun. Mine looked like that too.

I was thinking the same thing. Also if you decide to keep it, a good coat of protectant should help loosen that up as well.

I used a heat gun on mine on the rubber took the imperfections right out and if you have any problems what so ever call them they will replace your stuff and let you keep the old stuff.

I used adams svrt on the rubber and waxed the hard part but i think yours is all vinyl correct if so ya 303
