Long-time member/lurker, first time posting. I hit a snow-covered tree stump and broke my 1500 factory bumper cover. Rather than replacing it with a similar flimsy bumper I have been thinking about getting a deer-splitting off road bumper, I like the ICI Magnum or the Iron Bull and to a lesser extent the Warn Ascent. To those who have such bumpers on their 1500's, does the extra weight makes any difference in the fuel economy, acceleration, handling etc.? does the weight makes the front end drop down?, for now my suspension is all stock, my next mod is the Bilsteins adjustable shock to give it a slight lift. Any input will be appreciated, thanks!

I put a trailready bumper grilleguard on my 2016 1500. the bumperis about 350lbs and the winch was 150lbs.The truck has a 6 inch lift and the front did drop 1.25 inchs. The fuel milage did not change and the truck seams to handle the same.Trailready makes a nice heavy duty bumper that match the curve of the truck perfect.Even the grilleguardcurves to match the shape.

Elwiscon, answering your questions - ICI off-road bumpers are built to be tough, yet lightweight, so they shouldn't influence on the fuel economy, acceleration, handling. Here are all the bumpers we have for your Ram https://www.carid.com/2013-dodge-ram-off-road-front-bumpers/
Let me know if you have questions on any of them.

This is their rear matching. Don't mind the chrome tails and tips, they are the next to go.
