As I am cleaning things up and getting rid of all the junk and parts I don't need from various project it got me thinking, I have the extra set of OEM R/T wheels kicking around and wondering their actual value but more so what people want more, polished or Powdercoated.. They are black powder coated now but need a touch up and was thinking of having them re-coated to sell. I have a buddy that does powerdercoating for me cheap and I also have another buddy that polishes them that owes me a favor....

so polished or powdercoated????

I would toss them up on Craigslist and offer the option... heck, someone might be wanting bright orange or lime green wheels.

Check eBay on pricing. I'd let the buyer decide what they want to do with them after they buy 'em.

That thought also crossed my mind... just was thinking a "perfect" condition wheel sells better without hassle and haggling than one with flaws in the coating ... I'm not a fan of haggling... If I have to haggle the price goes up.

Powdercoat with a "machined" face to give a dual color look

I actually have seen it done it looks good, the option I went with was vinyl inserts into the rims to paint match my truck. Going to have it professionally installed and have the Rims re polished and ceramic coated this winter when I put my snow tires on.

Can you post a pic? I'm curious to see how it looks or what parts are done that way, I think I now know what was meant, at first I was thinking the lip of the wheel but now I think ya'll mean the spokes

These are not mine, but this is where I received my inspiration.

I purchased Maroon one for my Delmonico Red Truck, it should be done in a month or so.
