Hey guys,

I haven't been that active much as of late because I got married and that emptied my wallet!!! But, I've managed to save up for a BIG purchase. Wheels AND tires!!!! Here is the setup I want: Rockstar 3 Matte Black 20x9 -12mm offset with Nitto Trail Grapplers 275x65x20. My truck is just leveled and they said they "MIGHT" have to trim the bottoms of the wheel wells, but not much. I've seen on here that the wheel size I want should make the wheel stick out 1 inch or a little more, which is what I want. Does anyone have any comments, concerns, or anything with this setup? Also, if you have any photos of a setup like this, please post them up!

Thanks Ramily!

I'm running Nitto's 285x65x20 on stock wheels with no issues at all. No rubbing and cutting or trimed anything.

Yes but you have ideal back spacing and he is wanting a wheel with way to little BS so it will rub with a smaller tire.

In that case yes, it probably will rub on the upper. I have about .75 inch clearance.

I spoke with the guys this morning. They said that I would have issues with that setup....so they suggested the same wheel with a 25mm offset and a 33 inch tire. My truck is 2WD and it's only leveled. What would you guys recommend me doing so that I could get the -12mm offset and try to get the 34 inch tires? They were only going to charge me $2615 OTD for everything, including swapping over my pressure sensors. I don't understand all this backspacing stuff.

you could fit t hat tire if you would go with a wheel that had more BS , something closer to 5.71" ,+18mm.
this will keep the wheel under the truck more.

Yea true. They make the same wheel with a +25mm which might work?

Already responded to your PM but to reiterate, you shouldn't have any fitment issues running the 20x9 -12 offset and 275/65/20's with the 2.5" level. I don't expect you to have any rubbing issues at all.

Went today to the shop and setup a 20x9 0 offset wheel with a 275/65/20 terra grappler and I had a little over an inch clearance when turning the wheel all the way left and right. So, I placed my order for the 20x9 -12mm 275/65/20 setup I wanted! Should be in and installed tomorrow afternoon so I'll throw up some pics. Thanks for the help guys!

Got everything on yesterday and got her all aligned and camber adjusted today as it was off from the level I got put on almost two years ago. Pics coming as soon as it stops raining/snowing here in GA and I can clean her up!

I want to do a similar set up on my 2016 sport 4x4. I want to do the Rockstar 3's either the 20x9 or 20x10 with 35x12.5 tires. I want the rims to stick out a little bit, but the Rough Country website says that with a 4" lift, 5.5 back spacing is needed. The wheels I'm looking at have -24 offset 4.56 backspacing, or -12 offset with 4.53 backspacing. Will this work at all? I don't want to run wheel spacers, and I'd really like to have the tires stick out a little ways. They also have a +18 with 5.71 backspacing, but from everything I've read on this forum and others, the tires wouldn't stick out.

The more I read up about this, the more I get confused, so any help would be appreciated.

First off, I wouldn't run a Rough Country lift kit. You'll be far better off with Zone, BDS, or Superlift. A Zone is likely going to be the best option for you.

For wheels, no the +18 offset won't work with 35x12.5's so those can come off your list. Either of the Rockstar wheels will work for you. The choice just depends on how far you actually want them to stick out. a 20x9 -12 offset will stick out about 2" with a 35x12.5 tire. A 20x10 -24 offset with stick out about 3" with a 35x12.5 tire.

Thanks! I actually had changed my mind to the Zone setup after commenting on this.
