Finally got around to getting my paint corrected, topped that with Chemical Guys Black Light glaze and sealed with Chemical Guys Jet Seal. Paint has tons of depth now and probably 60-70% corrected.

I had a local detailer do the decontamination and single step correction cause I just couldn't find the time to do it myself. He was here from 9am to 515pm Friday and I did the black light right after Friday evening. This morning, I went and used spray detailer to remove dust then used Jet Seal to top everything off. Extremely impressed with the results and real happy with the paint now. Pics really don't do it justice. Can't wait to get my level and new wheels/tires!

That one reflection picture looks amazing. That is the beauty of black if you can keep up on the maintenance

Thanks guys! Well worth the effort money and time! After jet seal sits for a week ill come back with butter wet wax and finish it off. Despite the bottle directions any liquid sealant should cure for a few days before coating it. I'll post those next week

Damn snow in March?!? ********!

We've got a big storm coming tomorrow evening into Tuesday in southern Ontario....supposed to get about a foot of snow here in Hamilton.

I just cleaned up my rig after a record setting warm winter & we're getting more snow than the whole winter combined.

Guess I shouldn't complain though....we don't see snowfalls/blizzards anymore like I did when I was a kid.

Final step done during lunch break. Waxed with Chemical Guys 5050 and the results are stunning! Looks better than a new truck and already had someone stop me when I went to get actual lunch.

20170323_154947.jpg So I saw this product at Walmart a few days ago. I was with my wife and she had no qualms about me trying a new synthetic wax. Preparation for the the wax. Washed with a mixture of ONR and CG body wash and wax. For the mitt I used my Nanoskin fine grade pad by hand. Wash a panel then rinse. For drying I used Meguiars D155 as a drying aide.
The bottle; well the bottle is made of aluminum is the feel I get. The lid leaves a lot to be desired. Only screw on and off. No self cleaning lid offered. The wax is very liquefied unlike most liquid waxes that are have a thick consistency. The scent is not offensive. I used a white microfiber round applicator to apply the wax. With no dispensing lid, I had hold the applicator on the mouth and turn the bottle back and forth to cleanly get the wax spread on the applicator. I began to dab the wax on my hood. I then spread the wax in a back to front method rather than circles. The color of the wax is a light color. Once I had my hood covered, I could hear a rough sound from the wax as the wax was drying on the applicator. The wax was applied to my whole truck. To remove the wax, I used two Meguiars 5.5 Inch microfiber polishing pads. These were used on my PC7424XP on speed 4. No wax residue remained after each pass. The West Coast customs synthetic wax left no streaks. This wax gave my 04 white Ram a nice shine. What this wax does not do is repell pollen. Two days after waxing, my truck is covered in pollen. The price of West coast customs synthetic wax is 9 and some change at Wally world. So for the price and how little I used, not bad for a off the shelf synthetic wax.

black finally drove me over the edge as I had ocd/add/adhd well all of them. My GT 500 at 2500 miles received 219 coats of all the good stuff, I mellowed out with the 2012 Challenger SRT. To add to my troubles my wife drove a black car for 5 years ********, son of a *****, shiat errrrr. Your truck looks very nice.

Thanks man! Definitely a ***** to keep clean, it's already full of pollen. Without having a garage the realization is there that it'll get dirty but making it easier to clean is always in my head!!! I'm considering trying a rinseless wash cause I've seen the process and especially on dark vehicles there's tons of advantages.

Rinseless wash. I have two brands, ONR and Aero Cosmetics. Both are on Amazon. The ONR has many uses

Looking at OnR right now! Really like the synthetic clay mit. Everything is so much more simpler than what I've been doing. I need to get up with times and I'm only 31! Hahahaha
