Bought a new 2018 ram blackout edition(night express) and noticed an issue with the paint on the tailgate. it is only visible under certain lighting conditions, but it is certainly there. Looks like a purple streak running through the paint under the clear coat. Dealership said either a replacement or repaint. Trouble is I have been trying to contact the service writer working on it for me, and he seems MIA. Finally talked to a lady yesterday who told me they were going to repaint it , but they have to get a bid on it since they don't have a body shop there on their premises. Anyway here is some shots of the tailgate. What do you think it is?
