Need to find out from paint guys on this.

1. What grit to sand them first? Wet sand?
2. What kind of primer? I have read etching.
3. Clear coat? I have read not to put clear on rims.
Thanks.

I've put clear on every set of rims I have painted and the clear holds up and protects the paint and I've painted many set of rims. I used spray paint to do them and self etching primer.

Sanded them first? What grit?

I have read sand, then clean, then wet sand.
