I don't understand the hate for it. If you don't like it then keep on moving.

ITs usually two type of people:

1) people who used it and had bad experiences.

2) people who saw bad work done by people who didn't know how to apply it.

Would I use it when entering my vehicle in a car show? Probably not.

For a everyday quick little DIY modification? Absolutely.

FYI: my ram is plastidipped silver.

Did Fonzy come do her car?

Ha not quite. Her car actually came out pretty good though.

Another thing people don't realize is the dip can be a good original paint protectant. They make clear just to go over the original paint. Don't even have to change your original color.

I've debated this for years ever since the clear started coming off from a screw job body defect. I just can bring myself to it, plus here in Houston " rubbin' is racin' " and it wouldn't last long.

I wish I had done the clear coat on mine too....little late now.

It will for sure be done on my next vehicle.

Haha I know there's no changing the minds of the guys that Have already made their decision about the product....and I'm definitely not trying to do that.

The thread I guess was more for the new guys that are interested or have questions about it.

I get questions all the time about this stuff. Amazing how so many haven't heard about it yet.

That's the ticket right there, you are relying on people to "know their limitations" most do not. I used to live in Houston and you would not believe some of the DIY paint and body work on the streets (I guess they look at it and say, well......it looks better than it used to) and are happy with it.

Thats because Houston is Lil Mexico. lol

So what you're saying is... You havent rotated your wheels in over a year.

The very moment you take a lug nut off, plasti dip is coming with it.

IMO

Not necessarily, put a bit of grease at the cone of the lug nut and the plasti dip stays. Did that numerous time when taking off my wheels.

nope. dont knock it till you try it. I rotate my tires every 4000 miles . if you think about it as soon as you put that lug nut on it spins the plastidip off and when you take it off no plastidip peels .my badges are done also and been through about 50 carwashes without any problems. me and a friend did his wheels and 6 months later he decided to peel it off and trust me its a lot harder to get it off than you think if you prep it correctly. it took us about 4 hours to get it all off. I agree that powder coating is the best and most durable way but I don't think my boss would like it when I tell him I can't come to work because I have no wheels on my truck . its kinda hard to find 4 wheels to put on it while its being done . doing them one at a time would be a pain .

I think all the hate comes from people who think it's cheating because it's an easy, cheap, diy customization that you don't need a body shop for.

proly so but some of us spend all our money on performance and don't have a lot of time to do stuff. they hate it cause it looks just as good as others and not as much money is spent and if it starts messing up I'll just peel it off and do it again for another 25 dollars .

Yes sir. I will be there..

Wish I would have looked at the route, it's hitting all the cities I have family in. Some I haven't seen in a while.
