I decided to plastidip my tow hooks this weekend. I used the glossifier to provide a "gloss" finish. Pretty happy with how they came out.

Note to self....don't plastidip in the basement unless you intend on killing the whole family.

Looks very good! I wanted to do mine but with no more red on the truck it won't look right.

Love the comment re: basement. ROFL

It's so hard to get projects done in the winter. I have an old pool table in our basement that functions as chop saw table and has all my tools, paint, cleaning supplies, parts, etc. scattered across it. My last painting experiment in the basement that wife almost killed me over was doing a bedliner headliner in my 04 Dakota. I didn't want to deal with fabric again....turned out great but I fumed the house pretty good!

There's lots of different colors of Plastidip just in case you didn't already realize that.

Yeah, my wife was SUPER pissed at me!....at least I gave her a reason this time, lol

Yes, thanks...aware of colors. I was considering only red myself. The hooks blend in completely in black...I like them to stand out a bit since it's a upgrade. The contrast is really nice to make them stand out.

lol...I was waiting for this comment from someone. I can assure you that if there actually comes a time when I need my front tow hooks, then I couldn't care less about the red plastidip ($5 for a can).

In about 25 years of owning trucks, I never needed to use the front tow hooks. I'm usually using the hitch to pull others out.
