My plastic trim covers on top of my Ram Boxes are fading. Not covered under warranty!
Has any others had theirs fade? What did you do to restore them back to black?

Thanks

Autogeek and Autopia have lots of products that restore and clean plastic and rubber trim, mirrors, door handles.....

I've heard of people using liquid shoe polish to get the color back in.

Yes, this is an option. I actually did this to the very bottom trim on my wife's Durango

The same thing happens with the rail covers on the regular bed. I absolutely despise textured plastic on vehicles. You can get it back with back to black and other products, but it's always temporary. I'm probably going to get them sprayed with bedliner.

One product I found that lasts is Tuff Shine but is very runny. I use a foam brush 1in wide to apply

Thanks for all your input and suggestions.
I'm confused how the 2 bed caps before and after the ram boxes are still black as they were day 1 out of the factory. Why couldn't they us that plastic on the ram boxes?

TC Black Fusion. It's pricey for only 2oz but it works. A little goes a long way and it lasts. It's late and dark and I don't have before and after pics of my Rambox. Do a Google search and watch the videos. The stuff just works. I even used it on my wiper arms and cowl cover.
