so i have a 2013 dodge ram 1500. I use my truck for work allot and the coil springs are so weak. A few bags of product and it drops allot. Im thinking of changing out my rear coil springs to some heavy duty ones. It suppose to give it a 30 percent increase in weight capacity. Anyone has any experience with this? (i know rear airbags are the way to go but i am a bit short on money at the moment)

Changing the rear coil springs would cost me about $400. Installing a decent airbag set (not the 1000lbs mentioned above) costs about $1300 installed.

I'm interested in doing the same using the Tuftruck springs--TTC-1223V. Waiting to hear some reviews. May just end up trading for a 2500.

I'm not sure why you would want to do anything but the Airlift 1000s for towing purposes.

They'll level 1,000lbs easily. Your springs will be level with the front with another 600lbs. At that point you're maxing out or exceeding the payload of the truck depending on what package you have.

Have had them on my 2010 for a while now, and there are several others on here who have them, I haven't read a bad comment about them yet. One of the best mods I've done. The variable rate rides almost stock unloaded, can't tell the difference, stiffens up as the load increases. When I trade this one in, I'm going to take them out and put them in the new one.

I'm installing just the heavy duty coil springs on Friday afternoon. I will see how those work to start with. The stock suspension sucks. It's sad we have to improve those expensive trucks on our own dime.

Awesome. That's good to know. Now I just have to decide whether to spend the money or not because I'm going to upgrade to a 2500 in the next year or so.

TufTruck 1223V will not change your ride, whatsoever.
That;s why they are designed the way they are.

Idea was to specifically keep the car like ride.
Downside is the 1223v springs will sag, under a load. not quite as much sag, as OEM, under lighter weights but not much difference either.

The big difference is once more than just a little weight is applied the springs really stiffen up.1223V can handle 50% more eight or additional 450# over OEM.

IF wanting to change ride and get a more form a spring at the low weight end then go with the 1211 springs They are a consistent rate spring , not a variable rate. Fo those who prefer a 3/4 ton like ride, these are the spring to get.

I had the tuf truck springs in my 2012 1500. The are awesome and don't ride bad at all. I towed a 16ft loaded landscape trailer for about a year with them. No problems. The truck doesn't sag. It was a while ago but I want to say I had the 30% more ones.
