Went camping last month with a lot of gear in the bed. Rear suspension had more squat than i would like. The truck is leveled with bilstein's set at 2.1 in the front. I'm guessing I had about 1000 pounds of weight (people/gear/firewood). I've been looking at 1000 pound airbags. Just wondering if a 1 inch rear spacer would do the job instead?

Get airbags. You can go the cheap route and install the air lift 1000 which can be bought for probably $80 USD or you can go big with air compressors and 5000 pound bags. From the sounds of it the 1000's would probably suffice for your needs.

Easy install and with a simple air compressor can jack them up. The lines have a T and they pump from the back. There are two little holes on the hitch and from my understanding that's where you install the air cables

I would say get a good set of air bags, I have Timber Grove air bags and they are very nice.

second for a good set of airbags. I have the TLC airbags. Both the TLC and Timber Grove airbags are a no-cut installation and are easy to install.
