Hi All... I did search but did not find complete answers to my questions.

I have debadged my letters but I wanted to remove these chrome strips too. See pic below.

Any of you removed these chrome strips yourself? Any tips other than the normal fishing line/goo gone method?

I saw one person post that these are held on by 3M tape only. Can any of you confirm this?

Thanks in advance.

Yes 3m tape only. Should come out easily if done right. Heat gun etc...

You can use a heat gun BUT it's easier to use fishing line, work your way behind it, the chrome pulls off easy and sometimes falls right off... then roll and lift on the tape, and to make it come off EASY pull back and slightly up on it. Heat gun always made a mess for me.

I removed mine a few months ago. I used fishing line to get them off and an adhesive remover to get the rest of the tape off.

When I de-badged, I used a heat gun and fishing line, then some Goo Gone to get the rest off and finished off with some polishing compound.
