replacing the rear glass

has anyone tried to do this i wanna go to a solid rear window in my truck and was wondering what all may need to be done pics would be great as well thanks

Just had my solid removed and a slider installed. SafeLite AutoGlass did mine. In and out in under 2 hours.

My friend swapped from his slider to solid and a regular glass company came and did the swap in an hour and a half. They also provided the glass and a warranty .

Why are y'all removing the slider?
I wish I had one instead of the solid rear window.

In my friend's case he went with all clear glass for his show truck. So he swapped the slider out for just plain glass.

I broke my slider in my 3rd gen, I called my insurance company because I have full glass coverage. They told me they would replace it free if it was cracked. She asked again if any glass broke and I said.. yes..

So if you have glass coverage, maybe explain to them that yours is broken and would like a replacement.. haha
