I changed tires, from 305/55/R20 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ to 305/55/R20 Toyo Open Country A/T, both on OEM Clad rims.
Even it's the same size, the Toyo's rub too much for my taste when steering full.
Is there any way to avoid rubbing or do i need to get thin wheel spacers?
I don't want to get my tires wider than the fender flare so i need a 1/2 to 1'' spacer.
Thanks!
Chris

Thanks quietpeen,
on the front anti roll bar and the upper control arm

My truck seems to be standard, no level and not raised/lowered
I have 2 white shocks with no name on them on the front and Rancho 5000 XL on the rear

Chris

A 1/4" spacer should stop the rubbing on the upper control arm. Probably the other rubbing too

Just because they are the "same size" doesn't mean they are the same size. Different manufacturers have different specs some will vary from nothing to 1/2"-3/4" in width or height.

Usually you wont have an issue when staying with the "same size" but as seen in your case you have just that right sequence of parts that does cause a rub.

As quietpeen mentioned of spacers should solve your issue or plan for some new wheels with less backspacing

I think i will go with spacers.
New 17'' or 18'' rims are on the shopping list but that will probably take some time to buy them.
Shipping 4 rims with tires to Costa Rica cost will raise the bill substantially :-(

Any hints where to get the best bang for the buck 1/4-1/2 spacers?

Thanks

Chris

Here is a link for tire comparison spec between brands.
https://tiresize.com/tires/Toyo/Open-Country-AT-II-305-55R20.htm

To be honest with looking at these two, I would run the Mickey Thompson's being that they are 11lbs less per tire.. that is a lot when it comes to unsprung weight and wear N' tear on components, not to mention 44lbs all together. That is like a whole cars weight to a drag racer

I just noticed your in costa rica.... yeah that may changed things alot
