I've just added new wheels and tires and am looking for thoughts, opinions or just plain views on whether to keep my side steps. My wife is 5'1" and I am 6'2" so you can see my one dilemma. I'm willing to hoist her in as needed.

Is there a polling option with tapatalk?43a7d98278d4da256833ae8b20be2a72.jpgbba63a0590d329c52a4c974ad621fcdb.jpg

I'd keep them. They're a pretty low profile and tuck up nice to the body so it's not like they're big gaudy lookin ones you see on some trucks. Plus they add some protection from stones and debris flyin up against your rockers.

I originally didn't want steps, but I found with a 4" lift my wife hated it & even I found getting out of my truck involved a bit of sliding off the edge of the seat that would have led to premature wear.

In the end getting steps became a necessary evil....& the upside was that they protect the sides of the truck a bit from road debris during the winter & from door dings at the mall.

Yeap keep them, those also offer some rock/gravel protection as well as steps.

My wife is 5'1 and says it doesn't need steps lol , wait till I raise it 2.5" and then install 35s.
got mine picked out already..lol

Keep them. I have heard way to many times in the last 2 months "I wish you would get some steps" when my wife goes to get in my truck lol

I say some kind of steps are a must if it's driven more than twice a week. I took off my factory wheel to wheels for a few months, but my wife is 5'2 and needed something. She said get something else if you don't want the factory look.....So Picked up havoc hs2 which look just like N-fabs.

So based upon the listings, they will be kept. On another note, I hit 176,000 on it yesterday lol.

Truck looks great for that kind of mileage! The two main reasons I have steps. 1 - Idiots that park to close and ding the crap out of your truck. 2 - Getting out of a lifted truck you slide off the side of the seat and eventually wear out the seat foam and cover material. My wife's 1999 Dodge 1500 is proof of this happening over time. Keep the steps.

lol you're a brave man saying your wife is short. My wife once told me that if I ever refer to her as short, expect to see my " friends " in a jar on our mantle.

Was always against them. But they look good on your truck. They help a lot and keep from sliding out of the truck and wearing seats out

Well sadly I am 6'2" and weigh 300 lbs lol, so those steps aren't really for me. :)

Take em off!

my dad has those and i just ordered the amp fold up steps for him, he likes the step idea but hates the look, imo if you want steps the fold up ones are the way to go, but the old nerf bar type step just looks so outdated to me
