Anyone removed the step pads from their factory steps? I'm pulling mine apart to plastidip them, last time I did it with the pads on and it caused water to get in and make it peel. It looks like the pads just push in but I tried to prying them out and it's just bending the pad. Any tips or suggestions would be great
