I have a 2014 Hemi Ram RCSB that I did all the bolt ons to. It runs in the 12s at the drag strip with some Hoosier slicks. On the street, I run 305/45/22s, but she won’t hook to save her life. I know with 22s, there isn’t a lot of sidewall, so hooking will be a challenge, but is there anyone that makes a sticky 22? A cheater/street legal slick, or something like that, would be ideal. Also, what is the widest you can stick under there? In know 305 is pushing it in the front, but can you get more in the back? Thanks!

I'm a couple summers away from needing new 22 tires. I'm not much help. I have GY forteras FWIW. Though maybe Falken or kumho in the future. Both have been incredible on my stangs. On my bike nothing touches the pirellis I run....maybe them in an aggressive 22 fir the truck?

As for you and possibly me this summer for the track...a 17" tire with MT or Hoosier (really for the look...my truck can't spin them anyways). Fatter sidewall will help "stickiness"

Widest on your 22s assuming a 9" is likely 305 anyways. On stangs in the past you needed a 315 you needed 9.5+. Imagine the same on a ram....backspace and offset specific. I'm also assuming you're NOT changing rims though.

You would have to go with a different tire size. Sports tires don't typically come in 305/45-22.
I ran eagle f1s from a Vette but they where 335/25-20

Nitto makes a 420 in the 305 45 22. I'm not sure if that would be sticky enough but I hear good things.

I run the NT420S on my 22s and so far it's been the best performing tire I've found. I've tried 2 other brands and have decided to stick with the 420S but we'll see how they handle the new 4.56s and 3400 stall converter.
