After seeing this video, https://youtu.be/unAAHWtaQ0o I realized I have the same type of lugs on my truck. So before I had to deal with getting a rounded lug off without destroying my wheel, I decided to get some Gorilla Nuts. The stock lugs have a thin metal sleeve that covers a relatively soft steel nut which rounds off way too easily.

The part number for my truck and I believe all 2013+ trucks with 20" wheels is GOR-66148DX. The specs of these are M14 x 1.50RH. These are actually cheaper than the replacement Mopar lugs.

These would fit a 2009 4x4 right ? I dont think they changed the lug size form 2009-2016 but i could be mistaken.

I don't think this part number would fit a 2009. I have a 2009 Factory Service Manual and it states the lug nuts are a coupletely different size and thread pitch than these so check your owners manual

After adding wheel spacers to my 2011 in the driveway, 5 of my OEM lugs felt like ass. Had to tap a socket onto them and could tell they felt sleeved.

Really want to replace all of them but I want black.

Yeah I know all about that. 3 of the stock lugs got jammed in my socket and I had to hammer them out. ****** design.

I believe Gorilla makes Black ones....

When I had my tires swapped a week ago the shop called me about one of the lugs. I thought they had to be joking.

I realized quickly what they were talking about....I had to do the same to free them from the socket. At least I was able to torque them back down but damn....they are bad.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check into it!

No problem! I was hoping to prevent someone from having to destroy a wheel getting one of these POS's off...

This is one of the 3 that got stuck in the socket. Hard to see in this pic, but it's starting to round off under the sleeve which caused it to jam in the socket. DEFINITELY use a 6 point socket for these.

The dimple on the top is where I used a 1/4" extension to pound it out of the socket I was using.

Can't believe these are this soft.

Isn't that the chrome cover ? I don't think that is the actual lug nut , it's just a thin chrome cover imo .?

Oops sorry I just read the OP

It is a cover but it's integral to the nut itself. Funny thing is the cover or sleeve seems to be harder than the nut under it...

I do agree The factory ones are junk.
My last Dodge truck had the same **** .
I always rotate my tires myself (ha ha did this today in fact )
I always use a 6 pt socket and I don't use my air impact on them because I'm afraid I'll **** em up !

I do like those Gorilla ones !

Thanks Brother, will pick up a set of these. I tell you, I'm not sure what the shop did wrong though, unless is was a Chrysler shop. Looks like all the way Rams fault.

Forgot to add earlier that my stock lugs have never seen an impact. Always hand loosened/tightened and torqued with a torque wrench to 125ft/lbs.

Looks like 55 bucks for 09-11. 395, these look like the right ones? At Gorila, they look like they have a bunch of different ones.

Yeah those should be the correct ones for your truck. I only needed 16 because I have a locking lug on each wheel.

Damn the ones for mine were more money........
