Anyone here have good street performance tires on their ram? and if so which one. I see that there are a few who have the nitto 420s and say they are good but I was wondering if anyone is running something like the 555r or something aggressive like the nt05. (Im not sure if they have the correct size) I'm looking for some tires that can hook up the rear wheels. Doesn't matter which brand. I'm trying to make my truck faster from a stop, I'm guessing with a tire upgrade it should help. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nitto 420S is popular on here. I don't think Nitto makes a dr in our size. Do you have LSD?

I've had 3 sets of Nitto 420s, my favorite street tire.

If your want some DR's for traction. You don't want the 420s, there great tires I have them too but there all season tires. Not made for traction.

If you want some DR's, you are probably going to have to step down to 17s.
ET streets
Nitto 555R
or NT05s
Toyo Proxes TQ
M&H

etc!!!

They some make some drag radials in 18s and 20s but there all going to be short. I mean you can run them for the truck. Just going to look goofy if you drive on them everyday.

If you must run DR's Please remember that:
DR's + Trucks + Rain = Bad news.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a drag radial not really intended for daily use?

Racing was born in the streets, well that and the dry lake beds. But what I meant is their service life is drastically reduced with every day driving versus now and then street use

Sure, its a soft compound. I used to drive all the time during the summer with them in my old truck. Planned on them being toast in 6 months though.

****, I can lose my **** with my 22s in the rain. hahah

Actually that's sorta of the whole purpose of them is to use them on the street. They are street legal and most are fine in rain as long as there not worn.

You can drive on them daily, I have friend that do it everyday. They just will only last year for the most part. So it gets expensive.

Hell with the amount I drive, I replace my tires yearly anyway.... I'm used to my Diesel and its $1700-1800 every year... I'll take the 800-1000 for the R/T

Maybe I'll look into a set but I'd probably smoke them in 6 months or less
