Can you run your truck through a car wash without your antenna being torn all to hell if you've got a stubby? Or do you still need to take it off?

I just added a 6.5" "stubby" antenna. Not worried about going through the wash, I only use touchless anyways.

Yes it will break off. I had The Stubby last yr that broke off going through a car wash. It broke flush w/ the threads. Had to dig out the threaded section. Since the reception w/ The Stubby was HORRIBLE I didnt care too much & just put my stock antenna back on. Since then I just pull the antenna off everytime I go through through car wash

I would not use one that was not touchless.

Agree with what everyone says. If you are going to use a car wash make sure it is touchless. If not, it could damage it and your paint will get swirl marks all over.
