Get a Walmart smiley face ball to go on top of it. Then watch for falling book value.

I put a 13" black antenna from AutoZone on mine. I can hear the whistle starting at ~55-60 mph and my reception is not as good. It all depends on what you listen to and what you are willing to put up with.

How short did you cut your antenna & did you have to drill the ball at the tip out, so it would fit back on the antenna?

I just ordered my stubby antenna. I'm looking forward to getting rid of that stock antenna. We'll see how it works.

I was going to order up a Craven Speed unit for my '13.
But now the f'n gov't is threatening to furlough my ass.
Better save my money and eat some ramen instead.

Threatening? Half for my office is gone and we could really use our civilians back.

I know this is an old thread, but I just installed a Stubby and well, no joy. Lousy reception here in the DFW area. :(

Same here. Reception is worse on the 6" stubby I got. Brand was recommended on here as well, I love the looks, but I'm probably putting the stocker back on.

I have a very small antenna...but will be keeping the stock whip around in case I actually ever want to listen to FM stations.

Currently I listen to my iPod and SiriusXM.

This is what I’m using. No reception issues and it looks sick. Come in various colors as well
