Tailgate assist help

I had to take off my assist when I sprayed my bed liner and my ******** forgot is the cylinder goes up or down. Or if it doesn't matter. Any help would be appreciated

Im a contractor and use my tailgate 6-10 times a day. Don't see how millage plays any role in this part's lifespan... Its how many times you use your tailgate that matters.

Mine didnt last a year of regular day to day use.

installed mines this morning... luckily there are only 20 bucks.. if i can get 1-2 years out of her, i will be happy... replacing the shock is simple

I installed one on my 2014 Sport and just install another one on my 2016 Rebel. Man, that nutsert can be just a pain in the ass to get started. I didn't think it was going to get in on with my Rebel. I do not remember having any issues when putting it on my Sport.
