Doing some experiments with a few different LED/HID kits on my truck.

Just looking for the best light output to enhance my stock fogs and low beams on my 14 truck with projector headlights without breaking the bank.

Just installed a HIKARI LED kit with thousands of positive reviews on Amazon. These things are bright AF! No error or bulb out warnings but might have to address a slight driverside flicker.

Also ordered a 55w canbus HID 5000k kit for the low beams so should be interesting to see how that works out. Should show up next week.

Here are some pics of the HIKARI LED bulbs.

I highly recommend the morimoto 50W HID kit with the gtr gen 3 led fogs. Unfortunately it’s 500 bucks for both. I don’t know if that’s considered breaking the bank or not.

Wow Mpress that looks great!

Definitely on the higher side of the price range but it looks like they are giving you all the possible light output you can get! Thats awesome!

So you went HID in the headlights and LED in the fogs correct? This is the same setup I am trying just waiting for the HIDs for the headlights to show up.

Also which way did you orient the LED in the housing of your fogs? The OEM halogen bulb mounts on this funky 45* angle and when the LED is placed in the OEM position it is on the same angle. I was either going to orient the LED straight up and down or horizontal?

Hey Boosted how are you liking the HIKARI LED bulbs in your fogs still? Did you need any canbus/cancelers with them? I have a 2015 2500 curious on what I would need to put these in, any harness or changing of the OEM fog light assembly? I like the price and reviews on these!!

You need to get the decoders otherwise it will flicker. I'm testing out another set right now that have less spaghetti than the hikari that seem to work pretty good and have been doing a ton of HID vs LED comparisons for our trucks. Posting up those videos on my youtube channel this week! Here is my old setup but the new setup is 100x better!

Thanks for the reply, those Hikari's seemed to be much better in the fogs than the headlights. What brand/model you got in the fogs now?
