Hey guys looking for inputs on tow mirrors, 2017 1500 just thinking about if they are too big for a 1500 to look good or if they would look good. I don't tow much in spring-fall but tow a 25 foot over deck sled trailer in the winter. It's a little difficult to see around with the stock mirrors but can see slightly around it. Going more for a good look but also would be beneficial to me. All opinions welcome[emoji1303]

i personally don't like them. In fact my 2011 came with them and i traded a member them for the regular sport mirrors.

Personal preference bro. I love mine. I upgraded to a crew cab from a single cab short bed so the bigger mirrors helped with that adjustment too haha

its all preference as said above, i think its VERY vehicle dependent, on 3rd gens i put tow mirrors on em all, they just seem to fit the trucks, hell even my truck that is 2" off the ground has them, but i cant seem to bring myself to want to put them on my 2013 as i feel it takes away the sport look on a reg cab 4th gen, on your truck i think they would look good, IMO bigger mirrors always look good on lifted/ off road looking trucks

Sport mirrors look better imo. But if you decide to do it you should atleast color match the cap

The sport/standard mirrors on the 4th gens are A LOT better than what we got on the 3rd gen trucks. That said, I still prefer the tow mirrors. If you are towing a big trailer, they are a big help folded out. My truck is also a HD, so they help out with visibility for those small cars that like to hang out by my rear quarter panel. If they are on my passenger side, physically looking, they disappear behind my bed. The extra mirror let's me see everything around me.

Very true, 4th gen standard mirrors are leaps and bounds over 3rd gens, i added the wadestar blind spot mirrors to my 4th gen and i love the combo, its like having 3rd gen tow mirrors but no fold out option lol

I personally don't like them either. Make me think of a bald guy with big ears every time I see them! :laughing1:
I don't pull any trailers that are wide so when I had my 2500 built I just had the regular mirrors installed. I will probably catch hell for that come trade in time, but oh well that is what I wanted. No point in the extra wind drag & chance of getting hit if I don't need them.
If you need bigger ones for wider trailers go for it! Most people prefer the tow mirrors over the others.

Just cap and leave the arm black?
I was thinking just painting the whole thing gloss black?

See yours I like because your truck is white and the chrome cap looks good offsetting the white. You have just a level or is that a 4 inch?

On 2500s they look great just because they are that much bigger over the 1500s.
I'll just throw the tow mirrors on, a 2500 badge and 6.4 badge on my truck and call it a day lmao

i see this comment at lot and it makes no sense to me, especially on 3rd gens, its the exact same body, on 4th gens its a grill, hood and bumper, they are the same size truck, it has nothing really to do with the truck being a 2500 it has to do with the overall flow of the truck and if the mirrors fit the look

I like mine and dont like them. I don't like the fact that they stick out far enough they are annoying to get around in parking lots, or on my driveway I have to walk around to the grass. I personally like the sport look better.

But i love the 2nd mirror. They are 1000 times better for backing up and or towing. So overall I'm glad I have them

Color matching the whole thing orange would be sweet. Would definitely be a first

It is definitely personal opinion but to me the color and size of the truck matter. My black 14 cc sport leveled with bils on 34.5" tires looks fine with tow mirrors on and I honestly couldn't imagine it without them. For your truck though, the color is so bold, the mirrors you have actually add to it's look. The tow mirrors might look ok painted to match but I say you're losing some of your look if you change. Will still be a beautiful truck either way though! :happy107:
