Time has come to replace the OE junk on my black 14 sport.

Truck is stock height, debadged, and clean. No plans to change that.

I'm having a hell of a time picking tires. I want a GOOD tire that has a decent tread pattern and depth, good tread wear and good ACTUAL 4 season traction. But I don't want a big knobby offroad looking sidewall.. if that makes sense.

Seems like I want the tread and features of an A/T but the side looks of an H/T...

Suggestions and pics welcome!

I also like the tread pattern and footprint of these tires. Nitto, Toyo have the best. Keeps the tire cooler as well (per the guy at Discount).

If you have a 2500 truck (CTD even more so), the smaller foot print and the higher contour will wear your tires fast.

I always go with duratracs. I drive a lot of highways seasonal muddy roads, ice sand, and snow basically where ever I wish and a quiet ridee9d2806a31d641232dcad919d084b288.jpg879822d89634e069903d0ae02cbc0f68.jpg

Duratracks get a weird vibe from me. It's one of the tires that you either LOVE or you HATE them.

I have friends who love them until it rains. I had people love them until they took them offroad. I had a friend go from those to BFGs and never turned back. I have heard people going from BFGs to those and not going back... so ... I don't know what to think! haha

Everyone thinks the factory Goodyears Suck. so.. I don't know.. I've always heard Good Year in the 80s and 90s..

Now, I don't year them being recommended so much..

Another tire to consider is the Yokohama Geolander if I recall the name. Pretty good tire.

Cooper has a nice looking truck tire, not too many dollars, and comes in AT and HT. Had a set of the HT's on my last tuck and they did really well in the little bit of snow we get here. Don't know how they would do for youif you have snow all winter long. I am considering putting them on this truck when the time comes.

Interesting... I have seen a few Rams around town with the Duratracs and they look pretty cool on the truck.

The dealer put new Wrangler All Season Adventure With Kevlar. LT with E load rating. I have only used them on road so far. Rain performance seems decent. Winter is coming sooner than later and I am curious to see how they fare where I am since we get a full four seasons where I live in Ontario, Canada. They do have the "severe snow conditions symbol" on them so I get a modest insurance discount since they count as "winter tires".

I don't know how this tire would fare against the other ones mentioned here.

Duratracs are great. Ran them on a few of my trucks and they are currently on my Power Wagon. They are amazing in the snow. I didnt suggest them only because they do have a bit more of the knobby MT look than what u mentioned u wanted. They are a great all around tire.

Thanks guys.

I had originally been eyeing the Open Country H/Ts but wasn't too keen on the wussy tread pattern.

Can anyone post pics of a stock height ram with stock size AT IIs please?

I had a set of Terra Grapplers on my 07 Silverado 2500 - man I loved those tires. Wore well, tons of grip, but HOLY they're spendy. Almost $100 more per tire than anything else I'm looking at.

I have heard a lot of good things about Geolander ATs as well. Pics and opinions on those welcome too please!

I'm impressed so far with my Falken Wildpeaks. The AT3W is snow rated.

I just got them this week but it's rained several times, torrential downpour at times, and they never skipped a beat. Looking forward to snow.
