Ok so I know there are a few tire trends, but none answer my question. I have a 2017 1500, and the dealer added a 5th wheel ball. Problem is, I realized I have light Goodyear SRA tires. I want 8 or 10 ply tires in the 275/60R20. I tried Kanati Trail Hog tires, and returned then the next day after driving home on interstate. Extremely loud. Next cheapest are these 3 tires:

BFG KO2
Nitto Dura Grapplers
Nitto Trail Grapplers

Now I want options on these 3 tires only. I do not want to hear about other brands. I drive 50 miles a day on interstate to work, and also farm, so I see a fair amount of gravel roads.

Which is the quietest?

How is the traction? I know some people have the Dura Grapplers and hate them for traction, while others say they are actually not bad.

How many miles are you getting out of them?

I do about 40 miles a day on surface roads and the interstate.

I don't know which is the quietest of the three brands listed but the KO2's surprise me with how quiet they are. They work great in snow and clean out well when in the mud.

I've had them just about 8K miles and am seeing minimal to normal wear. They don't wear as well as an A/T tire but not bad for a M/T.

I'm very happy with the BFGs.

I'm a little confused. You picked a tire out of each category. What exactly are you wanting out of tires? A good all around tire? The Bfg has that one, but based on reviews the trail grap is a great tire as well.

I can get any of those 3 tires installed at the same price. I am wanting an 8 or a 10 ply and was wanting input as to which one i should go with.

ko2 would be my vote, having run those tires before. Solid in all situations and quiet.

BFG's are on my truck. I would go with them again.

Personally I have had trail grapplers on two different trucks . I think they are soft and wear fast . Haven't had the other two . So I can't say

If the not very aggressive trail hogs are to loud you won't like the trail grapplers.

My trail grapplers weren't loud til they got down to about quarter tread. But now I have toyo mts and love them so far. Real quiet and ride great.

Had the toyo mt's great tire but a 10 ply is a little stiff for my little regular cab. I now have d rated cooper mud claws they are loud but do great in the muck, not sure how long they will last though lol.

i run the bfg k02

love them

they wont last 15,000 miles

keep in mind : i dont drive like a sausage
i commute up a 12 mile hill and down every day from 5500 feet to 9400...

i will try toyos next time

a buddy with a snowplow fleet runs them and told me they last much longer. he has 40 trucks - so i value his opinion....

cheers! comrades.

The toyos on my 07 were not going to make 35/40k they were close to half tread at less than 20k , not sure if it was the weight of the Cummins or what they where good tires though pretty quiet did great on and off road had no complaints about them except they where wearing pretty fast.

So an update. I went with the K02s. I like the tires so far, nice and quiet, only issue I have is going on interstate, 80 mph, it vibrates pretty good. Anyone else have this issue? I may need to have them re-balanced.

If you want a smooth ride stop buying at/mud tires. I have trail hogs, my cousin I work with has the ko2. My tires are louder, his ride rougher

Just go have them balance them again and go from there.

I never complained about the ride. I asked a simple question if anybody else had issues with them vibrating. jeez, arrogant
