Jusy got my truck back today with new tires put on. Went with 275/65R20 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws and first impression is they look awesome! Im just curious what everyone would run for tire pressure... they are 80 psi max tires and my door jam says to run 35psi. It seems like 35 would make the tires seem saggy or flat. The shop set them at 50 psi and they look good and rode good home. Is there any pros or cons of running them lower or higher?? Will they wear any different?? They will be mostly highway tires. Any help/advice is appreciated.

Most of what I see online says follow door plaquard but I feel like 35 will make the bottoms look flat. I thinking I'm gonna run 40-45.

35 was for your stock tires. These will probably need to run at a higher PSI. I'd start at 40 - 45 and see what the ride feels like.

That's what I was thinking. Stock tires were a P rated tire also. I figure with LT tires I should run more around 45. They are at 50 now so I am thinking I'll air down 2psi at a time until they feel most comfortable.

When in doubt, do the chalk test.

I emailed Falken directly and will report back with their answer. I'm gonna guess they will say to run vehicle manufacturer recommendations but we will see.

My load range E Mickey Thompson Deegan's are rated for 80 PSI Max also. The door jam pressures are for p-metric tires, which is stock on 1500 Rams. Upgrading to a load range E tire changes those pressure values. I found that running my Mickey's at 44 PSI for everyday use is ideal. When towing, I up those pressures accordingly, depending on tounge weight. I also have airlift 1000 air bags in the rear. I inflate those to anywhere from 15 to 30 PSI, also depending on tounge weight. I hope this helps you out. Congratulations on your new sneakers chief.

Crazy how we are all different. Some nit even close?? My tires look fine as far as pressure, not saying they are correct though?? I’ve only had them on for prob less than 1000 mikes though so no sign of any wear?? I’ll have to do some researching on my 37’s air pressure...

Nitto web site has a chart for your exact tire and tire size. My 37” Terra Grapplers 2’s in 20” tire say 65psi max so i’m Gonna jack mine up to about 50psi...honestly glad I looked on this thread.

It might be worth looking at what Ram HD tire pressures are (with HD tires).

I've run my 10-ply tires usually in the low to mid 40s range for everyday drivng. For towing heavy loads I'd go up probably closer to the 80 psi range. 80 psi for everyday driving got to be a little to harsh for me. At least for the crappy roads we have around here!
