I put a chain from front hook to back hook, one on each side. That way I can run a bungee or tie down from anywhere.

Got this for $25 from tractor supply, firs under the tonneau cover, going to put some anti skid pads on the corners, but so far it stays near the cab. Was going to do the swing boxes, but couldn't stand the thought of putting holes in the bed.

I just ordered a box today, didn't need one as big as yours. I just need to carry my emergency jumper, couple towels, gloves & other odds and ends.

Ziplock Weathershield - LINK

BTW, highly recommend the Heininger cargo bar, this thing is stout!

I have a couple heavy duty husky bags, that I just bungy to my chains. They have all my extra balls and bungees, and tie downs etc in it. I keep my first aid, bug spray etc in the hidden cubbies under the rear floor mat.

Something like this, had it for years its held up great:
Husky 18 in. Tool Bag-82003N11 - The Home Depot

It is definitely not huge but 17.75 X 23.56 and 11.2 tall is plenty for what I'm going to keep for an emergency. I really wanted something dust & waterproof to avoid mildew here in the swamp we call Florida. After all if I buy something bigger I may be tempted to lug around more that I will never use.

My emergency pack:
STANLEY J5C09 Jump Starter / Compressor
Leatherman multi tool
gloves
towels
Cold Steel Bowie Bushman w/ fire starter
roll of duct tape
and of course one roll of toilet paper.

Comes tomorrow, I'll post up a pic when I get it packed up, should be a nice box to have in the back....

Of course I'll always have at least a 9mm on myself and sometimes a AR pistol in cab as well.

So with that I should be doing okay.

Got my "just in case box" put together. Not totally waterproof, but dust and moisture proof and being under the tonneau it should be fine.

Sure I could have bought something bigger, this is for what if...
And it is small enough to put in the back seat if I need to load up the box.

nice blade... looks good for what you wanted.. i want something bigger.. a box that would hold my essentials and have extra space in case the wife pulls the lets stop at walmart to grab items" on me.. which usually turns in to about 10 bags worth of crap..

I'm already set up for being a grocery getter.
