I have never had them on any vehicle, so I am asking for your expirience on which ones to get, do you prefer in channel, or tape on and why?

I have read good and bad on both, It seems the In-channel would be more secure if you were going through a car wash, but have heard they make it hard for the window to completely close.

Tape on is easy to install, but its tape, Thoughts?

Thanks for any and all input.

In channel looks cleaner and I've never had an issue with the windows not closing.

I love my weather tech in channels. Slim design doesn't stick out and I don't have window issues.

Seems unanimous, no one seem to have issue with the in-channel.

I had them on my vehicle before last and were tape on. Trust me, that tape is not going to come off!

I just bought AVS in channels but they get taped to the inside of the window channel.

I always thought they were snap in's. Anyone else have these? Experience with them?
I have not installed them yet as the weather has been crap.

I also love my in channel ones. I won't say 'no issues' closing, but that's because I have manual windows and can notice the extra stress when it gets to em.

That being said, I'd buy em again!

I have had the avs in channel on 2 trucks with no issues, prep surface, line them up and press in place, close window and keep closed overnight.

I don't have them on the Ram, but every other truck I had but one they were in-channel. I had tape on on a full size Bronco and they started coming loose a few times. Never had any window issues with in-channel and in my opinion they look better.

Again, I appreciate everyone thoughts. I agree In channel do look better, My only concern was with the closing the window tight, I dont want to cause any extra strain on the window motor forcing the window all the way up. I know that probably sounds a bit rediculous, but thats what I think about.
