3M black weatherstrip adhesive would probably work too.

i've got some loc-tite outdoor adhesive and some 3m moulding tape. think i'll try the loc-tite first, the tape might be too thick.

That trim piece is called ditch molding. I know 3M makes a double sided foam tape that is very sticky that a lot of OEMs use to adhere that piece to the car, I know for a fact thats what Mercedes uses.

It does. Mine started coming off on the passenger side as well, shortly after I first bought it (gently used), and I used some of this to glue it back down securely. Its still holding great, its been over a year now I believe.

Mine on my driver side came off completely. Anyone have any info on a replacement piece? Anyone have the part number?

I know this is an old thread but I had the same thing happen to mine and after the grey automotive 3M double-sided tape I put on didn't hold very long, I bought me a tube of weatherstripping adhesive that seemed to work great.
