Hey guys, now that I cant use the lil 17" spare, what do I do with it? Will a tire shop or dealership give me anything for it? What did you do? And, what did you do with the empty space if anything?

See how far it will roll down the street. But really I have no idea besides either hold on to it or pawn it off on someone who may want it.

Speaking of this does anybody know of you could fit a 35" tire or something comparable diameter wise just to get to a shop

My 35" spare rides in the bed because it wont clear my exhaust, some times I just take it out. I always pack a plug kit and a compressor though.

What is the largest Tire that will fit between the factory duals? I am thinking of going with a larger Tire on the stock spare, but if it doesn't make sense then it isn't worth it.

A small spare is better then no spare, would be no different then some of those little spacer saver tires cars come with.

I keep a 35" tire in the bed most the time in case of an emergency. Has anybody used the spare after you've lifted? I guess I didnt think you'd be able to

Why not just keep it? It'll at least get you off the road and to a tire shop to fix the flat or blowout

I just bought a plug kit and compressor for this same reason.

Not sure why you are not simply keeping it for emergencies? I wouldn't use it in 4wd, but 2wd should be just fine. Plug kits and pumps are fine IF it's a repairable tread puncture but wouldn't do anything for you if it's sidewall damage from a pothole, curb or even something you hit on the road.

For those lifted guys on big tires, make sure you have a large enough jack, or it's all for naught.

I carry a plug kit. And I have a onboard air system that I can fill my tires no problem. And it runs my train horns.

While a plug kit and a compressor are great ideas, they won;'t fix a sidewall or a tire coming off the rim. Years ago on my '78 GMC Jimmy, I ran 35s with a stock sized spare. It saved my butt a few times!!
