Ok so after almost 25,000 miles and 30-40 track passes, the factory goodyears are at the wear bars so getting new tires for christmas. But not sure whether to get an all terrain or a street style tire? Truck is a daily driver that gets raced 3-4 times year and also gets offroaded occasionally. Had nitto 420 on the last truck and they seemed to do good on the track and offroad but not sure if they fit the way the truck sits now. What do you guys think?

Sizes I'm looking at:
275/60/20(stock size, 33")
285/50/20(31")
275/55/20(31")
295/50/20(31")
295/55/20(32")
285/55/20(32")
33/12.5/20(not sure if they'll actually fit cause of the width)

Also, truck will not be modified when the tires go on. No lowering/leveling/swapping bumpers, etc. However truck may be built around the tires as time goes on

The truck:

I would just stay with stock size, and for the type of tire it just depends on where you drive. if you are looking for a track tire get the 420s. for an a/t you have a few options, I really like the looks of the general grabbers. of you can go for an m/t. that would be my choice.

Well this truck does it all; daily driving, racing, mudding and offroading. So I want something that can do all of that without gaining too much rotational mass, won't effect my mpg that much, and that I won't have to replace every year. A higher speed rating would be a plus too. Just not sure if I should go a/t or if a street tire could do all that too

No one tire is going to fill all those roles. If the stock goodyears were good enough for what off road you do, then stay with something similar. An all terrain is going to kill your racing. Too much rotational mass.

Well the goodyears were sketchy with what offroading I did for sure, I couldn't go as deep as I wanted

Like this is where I go mudding

And I had to go between where I'm standing taking the pic and that street sign. Any farther back and I would've got stuck but I really wanna get more towards all the water

I've been told to look at the cooper at3(atp) and they seem to only been a few more pounds more per tire than factory(43 vs 48-50) so I think I could give up a tenth or 2 to be able to offroad more. Opinions on them?

I think you need two trucks, one for the track and one for off roading.

personally i wouldn't go with a smaller tire.....33x12.5x20 will most likely rub.

get round tires, preferably small ones since you like to go fast.

when i took the stock tires off and put on 35/12.50 muds i lost a good bit of power. it for sure slowed me down. i could tell the difference as soon as i pulled out of tire shop. i will be going with smaller ones next time for sure.

you need to choose what is most important to you. mudding or going fast. those tires are completely different.

I'm running 33x12.50x17 MTZ with Mickey classic rims and they DO NOT rub at all even without my levelling kit.. And I got all the power in the world and they are not loud at all.. I love this set up!!

i also have good power. but less rotational mass=more usable power.

Well solved my racing issue, picked up these 17" wheels and tires off a durango for $75 today. Tires have a little tread but I'll throw on some decent 265/70/17 after I burn through the 245/70/17 on there now

So now I just have to decide what I wanna daily drive on
