Whats This?

So can't recall if this fell off when I opened the hood for the first time or one of the 12 different times I removed the front grill but in any case........can someone identify this part/piece for me, at least two of them were on the ground after I finished with my headlight replacement. Thanks for the assistance.

Yes, I know what they are.... they go on the top corner's of the engine compartment... not sure the purpose, maybe some protection when the hood closes... will get you a pic when I get home from work, if someone doesn't explain it much better by then

It's some kind of spacer that goes between the fender and top of the headlight, IIRC. I knocked one of them off when I replaced the signal bulbs in the headlights and it took me about 30 minutes to figure out where it went. If I wasn't out of town I'd take a pic for you.

It goes Between the top of the fender and the cover that goes across the top when you open the hood

I had the same piece fall off mine the first time I pulled the headlights. Looked and looked trying to find where it went before finally giving up and setting it aside. I eventually noticed the other one on the passenger side the next time I pulled the lights, but damned if I can find where I put the other piece. Figures.
