So, I've got a 2012, 1500, 4x4. It has a 6" lift, and 35x12.50's on the stock rims. I just rotated my new tires, and discovered that the previous owner put some cheap .25"spacers on the front. I had a shop put on the new tires, and they said nothing about the spacers. Anyway, I believe they are the cause of a slight vibration that I'm getting in the front end at higher speeds.
I can't afford new rims at the moment, so I'm going to go with some quality hub-centric spacers. My question is regarding the width. If I use 1.5" spacers, the rear tires will be flush with the flares, and the fronts will stick out just a bit. If I go with 2" spacers, the tires will be out past the flares about 1" in the front and about 1/2" in the rear.

So, flush the tires, or poke them out?

all depends on what look you like. Them poking out will give a little more aggressive look

I like them poked out. I ran 1 1/2 bora spacers. Didn't have to trim the studs. There was pockets in rim . Plenty of clearance for the little amount the studs stuck out. That was with express 20's.

I went with 2" and I love them. I went back and forth on the idea too, and I'm glad I went with 2"

I had stock flares on my 2014. With 35's and 1.5" spacers, the tires still stuck out an inch or more past the flares. It looked awesome. My gravel road in the spring hated it though! Lol

I decided to go with the 2" spacers. They should be here middle of next week. I'll post pics when they are installed. They should push the rear tires about 1/2" past the flares, and about 1" past in the front.
I also live on gravel, I may have to look into some mud flaps, or possibly bed lining the rocker area.

Spacers were finally delivered yesterday. According to FedEx tracking, they had been sitting in a distribution hub 80 miles from my house for the last 3 days.
Anyway, I only had time to open the packaging and snap a few pics. If the weather cooperates, I'll get them installed this weekend.

Got the spacers installed. 2" didn't push the tires out quite as much as I thought it would, but I'm happy with the result.

I think if it weren't for the flares, the difference would be much more noticeable.

The big advantage though, is the added clearance between the knuckle and tire. Here's before, with the 1/4" spacers.

And here's with the 2" spacer.

Ya the flares really hide the poke. Trust me, they're out there.

I have 1.5 on the oem 20's and I didn't have to cut or trim any mugs.

It looked like I could have fit 1.5" without any cutting, but I'm glad I went with the 2". Tires are just slightly past the flares, but not so far that they throw a lot of stuff on the body. As an added bonus, I can now turn lock to lock without rubbing on the sway bar ends.

xrsman, I am looking for 1.5" spacers for my 2014 ecodiesel and wondering which brand/where you got yours? I'm hoping the 1.5" will not require replacing existing studs. Maybe just a slight grinding. Plus it looks like the spacer studs are nice and long as I would like mine to be around 1.5". Thanks in advance.

Hey I just figured out how to find stuff on the forum and found the threads on Bora spacers. You'll have to forgive the newb!
