Wondering if anyone has experience with using wheel spacers on stock rims?

Looking to get the stance a little wider on my truck, we have an ram express with the 20" black rims that I don't mind at all, would like to try a spacer on it to give it a bit of a better looking stance. Not looking for anything too extreme, just something to push them out past the fenders a little bit without going too overkill.

If you have used wheel spacers with your stock rims and tires, a pic and the spacer size would be very helpful in giving me an idea of what I should get, thank you!

I know, different generation. But that's a stock 20" rim with a 2" spacer and 12.50 tires. They stuck out pretty far. Sorry best pic I have with that set up. 5ba895bd63dd207562da0b89c331ef1f.jpg

what size spacer covers the factory stud 100% with no trimming?...1.75"?

smallest to safely use without trimming stud is 1/4"?

I'm not on stock wheels. That's why I didn't add a pic. Was just speaking to the credibility of bora.

I have BORA spacers also, 1-3/4" on my 3rd gen. Seem to be very high quality and worth the price

Ive always heard that wheel spacers are a big no no, unsafe etc... is this wrong information Ive been hearing? Id love to run a small spacer, but thats one thing that IF it goes wrong, **** is going down.

Spacers are definitely a place where "you get what you pay for" applies.
The cheap parts store ones that just slip over your stock wheel studs are the ones to avoid. Quality hub-centric spacers are fine, you just have to periodically check that they are torqued properly. I initially checked mine at 50-100 miles after installation, and again at every oil change/tire rotation.
Be aware though, depending on the design of your wheels, you may have to trim the factory studs with spacers under 1.5" to 1.75".

You're probably hearing that from people who haven't used them, bought cheap eBay ones, didn't buy hub centric adapters, or installed them wrong. The spacers have to be longer then your original lug nut studs. That's the main cause off issues.

Oh, and don't buy into the whole "they put more stress on wheel bearings".
Spacers have the same effect on wheel bearing as switching to a different rim with less backspace/more negative offset.

1.5 inch supreme suspension hub centric spacers before and after picture. Has them on for about 6 months with no issue. Installed with blue loctite and torqued. I checked them when I rotated my tires about 5k miles after install and torque was still the same as the day I installed them. d2bf4952ab23cdf86b987ff9253ff628.jpg83e18bf702de785325713f0a8da1c91f.jpg
