I guess I'm old school or...just old. I like the look of raised white letter tires. I've been lookin' for 275/65/20 or 285/65/20 with white letters but Nothing. I see BFG's advertised with them only to find out they're black sidewalls. Can anyone enlighten me on where to findem'?

It's my understanding that many tires have them, but the reverse side is black.

Yeah, white letter tires started going out of style in the late 80's. The BFG AT KO's are still available in white letters.

Michelin LTX A/T 2, that's what I'm putting on my truck. They are in short supply right now, this tire in this size is standard on F-350.

I work in the tire industry and get this question all the time. In the above comment, the reason was stated - it being an "out-dated" look.

Back in the day, for the most part, all tires had a whitewall option. Now a days, you'll be lucky to get a good tire that has black side wall on one side and white side wall on the other.

Tire manufactors save money by only selling tires that sell. Since the demand is low for white wall tires, production gets cut.

the raised white letters is the biggest dislike i have on my truck. i will be making sure when i swapped out the stockers to AT's they will not have the raised whites.
If you have them remounted with the black side out your problem is solved...

the stockers arent even worth the cost to do that in IMO, if im taking my truck to a tire place its getting new rubber which will be shortly as soon as i decide if i want a lift or not.

You're dealer might do it for free since you just bought it. Usually they have to be asked to point the white side out...

Wonder how well a paint pen would hold up? I used to take a pretty stiff brush to my white letters to clean them (bfg a/t)... Would a paint pen take that kind of beating? (I like white letters too, but it has to be an American made and a good tire to advertise like that)

White wall and white letter (like the OP is talking about) are much different.

I think that even the op said white letters and then another sentence later, white walls. I think its understood that white "wall" would be referencing "letters" in an A/T truck tire. Human error at it's finest I'm sure.

I ordered my truck with white lettered tires because I like them and will replace them with the same. That's why we have choices because not everyone likes the same things.:)
