Not sure if this is in the right section or not.

How many people on here have either 10 or 12 wide wheels? Any issues with ball joints, tie rod ends or wheel bearings?

I just installed 12 wide wheels on my 1500. I used to have 22x12 wheels on my 2500 and had to replace ball joints and wheel bearings.

So my question is, anyone with wide wheels on their 1500 have any front end issues or had to replace any parts due to the wheels?

20x10 on my 1500. 4K miles so far and no issues. I did replace the UCA's while I was in there.

I am running 20x10s with a level. Have about 3500 miles on the setup. I just replaced my UCAs because the ball joints were pushing up but that's common with a lot of lift.

I'm running 20x10 -24mm offset 13k on the wheel and 35x12.5 tire. I'm sure those items will wear out faster but that's just the nature of the game.

The wide offset wheels will increase wear and shorten the life of your front end parts there is no question about it.
plus you get the added bonus of getting the sides of your truck blasted with sand, salt ,rocks and mud.

Screwing with the factory wheel offset will kill ball joints quicker than anything. As soon as you move the center of the wheel off of the center line of the ball joints you're putting a lot more pressure on them.Simple physics. You're adding outward press to the bottom and inward press on the top.

I only drive roughly 10,000 miles a year. I love the wide look so I'll just deal with it. The parts aren't terribly expensive nor that difficult to replace
