Decided to wrap the plastic trim around the 5th window on the back glass. It's not recommended because it is plastic, as well as orange peel texture. I live in Houston where plastic fades fast and the back window bugged me with it fading, so gave It a try since I had some. It actually stuck good (cleaned surface, and used heat gun) when the glare hits it you can see the texture but I'm happy with it. Blends in with the glass much better!

I've sanded and repainted it, with automotive grade paint from a gun and clear coated it. Turned out just like glass.

Wrapped with 3m, and yeah I knew that would be only option to get rid of the orange peel.

Could this also be done to the pillars between the front and rear windows?

It will deff work on that, it's a smooth painted surface. That's pretty much what it's for

On my '16 1500 Lone star they are the same plastic as the two bars on the back middle window.

I hate the tape on the B column, is the paint underneath clear coated like the rest of the truck? Any tricks or just carefully use a razor, is there adhesive?

I want to do this!!!

The one thing I'm noticing that does not age gracefully on these trucks is the trim on the back glass. Gonna save this because in a few years that Florida sun is going to bleach mine pretty bad. Thanks for sharing.:favorites13:

I love how trends change...on the 3rd gens everyone was all about making the b pillar black to match tinted windows. Now that they made it black on the 4th gen to match tinted windows everybody hates it and wants it to be colored matched.

Now I miss my granite crystal truck  I'd definitely been considering doing the same to my back glass. What are your suspension specs?

What helpers are you running? How's the ride? I have the same setup, just ordered illicit brackets, and wanted to cut a coil or so in the rear because I've still got some rake. Your truck looks PERFECT imo

Yeah the brackets corrected driveshaft angle, recentered the wheels and made the overall ride so much smoother. Preciate it
