I just installed a Zone 1.5" BL and Bilsteins at 2.8" this week. This allowed me to put the wheels & tires I bought on, they're XD Addicts 18x9 -12 and NTG 295/70R18s. I just put a level across the top of the front tire and these aren't quite 33 3/4" tall. They look to be a bit on the small side so I'm not really surprised, disappointed but not surprised, Nitto claims they're 34.29" tall. I guess if I put 75psi in them they might get there.

Anyway, these aren't gonna work. I was planning to have a 4" Zone suspension lift installed but since I can still fit it in my garage with a few inches to spare and I can't find steps that I like for a RCSB I've been thinking about leaving it as is. Here's how she's sitting now.

So my questions is.... If I buy new tires they'll be the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Nitto claims their 37x12.5R18s measure 36.77" tall. If this measurement is anything like they're very rough estimate of the NTGs I'm guessing they'll come in at 36" or a hair over. I'm wondering if I might be able to sneak them under my truck as it sits now without rubbing. I know conventional wisdom says to buy their 35x12.5R18 but with a claimed 34.76" height I don't want to drop $1300 to gain 1/2" of actual height.

So did you hafy to do the bL to fit those tires, did they rub before the bl. ?

I have seen guys run just the bils at 2.8 with 35x12.5x18s and say no rubbing, I would think with your bl you could do a 36" tire fine.

I didn't try to install them until after the BL & Bil's were on so I can't say one way or the other. Considering how tall these aren't I'm betting they would have been fine without the BL.

I should add that if I'm buying new tires I may buy new wheels also. I had my heart set on Fuel Beast 20's when I found the current set of wheels & tires for a good price. If I go with the Fuel's I can go with a different backspacing if needed.

The first picture looks like you got the room to do it and no rub, the second picture looks like you will rub bad at full lock with 37's. I know guys can not run 37's without rubbing bad on full lock or even 3/4 turn on a 4" suspension lift and that's flat ground, put it on a decline and try to full lock it's gunna sound real ugly. Of course 4" suspension lift is not what you have so I couldn't say for positive what your setup can do....

The first pic is sitting on an incline, the second is in the garage on flat ground. The truck measured 36 1/4" to the top of the front wheel well stock and now measures 41 1/4" so I netted 5" between the level and body lift.

I think it looks great as is. Typically when you install tires they will always measure short of their rating, measure a tire with it off the truck.

Thanks. I don't think it looks bad it's just not what I had envisioned. I tend to obsess about this kind of thing.

Anyone running 37x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers who can measure them and let me know what their actual height is?
