3rd-4th gen qc

Looking at going from a 07 1500 qc to a 4th gen 2500 qc Cummins. Wondering about cab space. Currently have 2 little ones in car seat and it's a bit cramped in the back seat causing me to move the driver seat forward. Anyone have experience with children seats in the 4th gen qc. I stand 6 foot tall and perfect my current seat almost all the way back. Wondering if I should be looking for a mega cab instead....?

The cabs will be very similar in size...if you want more room you need to look into a crew cab

Was there a year that there was a qc avail on a 4th gen 2500? Bc I have never seen one, and u cant even build one on the ram site. OP...you sure the 4th gen u r looking at isn't a CC?

I could be mistaken, but I don't think any 4th gen 2500 come with quadcab, it's either crew cab or mega. I have the crew; I'm 6'1 and my driver seat stays all of the way back and I can comfortably sit in the back seat behind it. You should be fine with the crew cab. Mega cab won't help much with car seats anyway. Take a look at one and you'll find the seats don't slide back any further than a CC, you can just recline them and have storage space behind them.

Op. There are a dozen threads on here comparing quad to crew. Appears your question should actually read "how much more room am I going to have in a 4th gen crew over my 3rd Gen quad....answer is: plenty. I have driven both. I have a child in a car seat and will never own another quad. You will love a crew versus a qc with kids.

I guesse I just figured ram changed the cab name to be more appealing. Yes I meant 4thgen crew cab. As in how much more room will a 4th gen CC 2500 have in the back seat compared to 3rd gen qc 1500 back seat?

I'd easily call it another 6-8 inches of overall room.

My father has a 4th gen crew, and i have a 3rd gen QC. If i put my 4 year old with a car seat in my fathers truck, he can't even stretch out and kick the front seats. Go look at the 2500 in person, and park your 3rd gen next to it. Its a TON of extra room.

I have a 2010 ram crew cab im 6'2 and my 3 yr ia in a big carseat and we have plenty of room! I love it, also have a 7 yr old in booster seat and everyone has plenty of room, not sure if thia is any help but that's my 2 cents lol
