Aftermarket Rotary Shift Knob

I have done some research and come to find out the Ram 8 speed rotary knob is actually easy to remove and replace if needed. So my question is, how come we don't see any custom ones out there? I am surprised Billet Technologies hasn't jumped on this to at least make a custom face plate for the knobs?

Any ideas or leads on people making custom knobs or knob faces?

I have not seen any,but not a bad idea for someone modding the dash. Even a sticker of some sorts on the knob to dress it up ? But I would think to make it look like it fits in you would need to dress up the dash panel to match

Kotta390 what about swapping in the silver *** that the Sports & R/T's have. Not a nice Billet piece but better than the other ***

I actually prefer the knob I have. I was hoping for something like the Mopar M or a Ram head or something to just replace the knob cover itself. If I had an extra one I might be able to get my local cnc machine shop to make some engraved ones or or get them anodized. That route won't be cheap lol

i did a youtube vid of how too remove it. its so simple and i can't find a part number at dodge anywhere. they want to sell you the hole shift control.

I think I have seen the video. The little plastic round cover piece looks like it's glued/snapped on maybe?

its got two sided tape and a torx 20 or 25 screw
i haven't taken off a premium knob yet but should be exact same

middle one was an add-on it went over the stock knob was on eBay for a long time
third one looks like a sticker
and the first one i think was a concept than was never put into production

FYI the Marines work for the Dept of the NAVY :O When I was in the NAVY in 71/72 I was on a Amphibious Assault Ship who put you on the beach and picked you up if you were nice lol We partied hard with you guys for years
