Recently has my truck at the shop and had them paint my interior trim
Love how it turned out....should have been an option from factory

nice, how did they get it out? I am looking to paint the two silver pieces next to the shifter.

That looks really nice. Wondering if it would get scratched up though, especially around the console area.

awesome i love the look of your truck! They just use normal paint and right of the chrome finish?

I wanna do this to my bright silver, to get rid of some of the chrome inside, just don't think any color would kind of coordinate with it though

I've had mine done for about 6 months, and no scratches yet. That was my biggest concern though

How hard is it to remove the trim? Is it just the good ole fashioned pry and be careful not to break those fragile as hell clips method? Lol.

Need to remove the chrome trim....there are 2 tabs on either side, 3 by the storage bin and 2 above. Stick something thin. A long nose flat head screw driver is what I used. Once that pops out, remove the tray liner above the shifter to reveal 2 screws. Remove those and pry it out.

Thought about it as I know you have it done....
But it did not like the dial painted partially. If ever someone moved it, you'd see unpainted sections.

Paint is pretty durable. They used automotive paint....so it will scratch exactly how your truck scratches which takes alot of abuse

Well they use some flexible bonding beneath the paint but yes, they use the same paint to spray my grille, tailgate and tows
Gloss black is always safe and looks pretty sweet

Not hard at all. Just be careful for those exact reasons. Lol
I broke one clip. Which is pretty good but that cause it was below 30 here and well, clips don't flex as they do when they are warmer. Lol
So not bad if you ask me.

Seems to be asked by many.
It's the switch for my fogs till I run them to a constant switch.
Waited on a mini fuse tap to do this which I got yesterday....so that switch will be used for LED lightbars once I get those.
But as of now, they control my LED halos in my headlights and fogs

or just paint the whole dial lol like i did then when its moved its painted but ya looks good man glad you painted it it just makes so much of a difference.

And to poster who asked if it gets scratched mines been done for about a year and still no scratches
