Clock spring bad after rack replacement?

Well yesterday about 3 I pulled into a friends house and I had cut it hard right to pull into his barn. And as I was straightening back out I got this huge clunk in the front end. Come to find out my rack and pinion had completely clapped out. So. I replaced it. Now after hours of frustration and trying to get toe set with a tape measure. I'm throwing 2 codes p0593 and p0581. Air bag light trac control no cc no evic controls or radio controls. And no horn.

What happened? what would cause the rack to go out all of the sudden? Truck only has 113k and it's a 2010 1500.
And why after all the hours of frustration busted knuckles would I throw these codes?

Final verdict?

What did you do to repair it? Was it the clock spring? I disconnected my steering shaft to install headers and now I have no cruise control, horn and my infotainment screen between gauges is stuck?

if you turn the steering wheel too many turns when disconnected from the rack, it will destroy the clock spring

Yeah. Exactly what he said. My clockspring was pulled apart. I replaced it with a used one for now... gotta come up with the money to buy new

I can't help you with your 2010 issue, but can you post a picture of your 2910 RAM. I would like to see how the styling has evolved. :)
