So after trying to figure out a way to red neck the interior of my truck, while showing off my love for nature [emoji23]. I bought some mossy oak infinity vinyl wrap for my dash. Just doing the silver areas to start with (around the radio), not the chrome. I don't know yet about the black area where the radio is mounted, well see.
Anyways, I've watched install videos provided by the company, but their job is to make it look easy. Like tinting windows the first time. Anyone have any tips? Any major "do nots" that I should know?

I have a heat gun, razor, and alcohol, but not a whole bunch of patience these days [emoji6]

Gotta have something that can smooth it out. Fingers don't quite work. Think squeegee or something along those lines. Something plastic with somewhat rounded edges so you don't scrape that nature off. Wouldn't hurt to have some quick dry plastic/vinyl glue to hold the corners down on the back side. You will want to take off whatever you are wrapping. Keep your razor sharp. Once it gets a little dull, it will pull and wrinkle the vinyl. Since there is print on it, I wouldn't use too much heat and stretch method. It might distort the image or make it look thin in spots. If you got some sun, maybe just sit outside and let nature be one with nature.

I've only wrapped a few things with success. Flat stuff is easy. Compound bends will need some warmth and minor stretching. Leave enough room on the back side to put that glue, even though it's sticky. I have had it try to contract a bit.

This will be my Friday off project. But I will take some pics for sure.. More than likely they will be pictures of a broken dash, half the vinyl falling off, and a melted radio button [emoji6]. But Hopefully not..

Probably easier if you take your dash off prior to install.

Definitely going to take it off. Seems like a great project to do on the kitchen table [emoji6]

make sure you pop off the center console cover as well. It will make getting the dash off easier.

I really want to see this camo.

Don't get too excited! This is my first vinyl attempt... Expect the worst, but either way, I'll keep buying this **** until I figure it out ;)

You can smooth it out and get the edges and creases good with that credit card you just maxed from truck modding. Heat is your best friend with kind of stuff, I'll be doing mine shortly, but I'll be going "ALL OUT".

List of Tools Required
- Maxed out CC or decal squeegee
- Hair dryer or heat gun (on low), don't wanna melt it
- Razor Blade
- Patience

I will give you some tips on where to buy, and how much. Because I got screwed twice. And on the order they "fixed" for me. One of the sheets is a different pattern lol. So I'm waiting on my other sheet before I do the radio area, if I decide to.
