I just bought a 2009 Ram 1500 this past Friday, 1/23. I swear when I first looked at it, the dome light was working while the car was off. Now the only way I can get the light to come on (when the car is off) is if I hit the unlock button on the key fob. I was told by the dealership that it's because of the aftermarket keyless entry system. They said that the electrical bus that powers the light won't wake up simply by opening the door or turning the dial under the headlight knob. They said that when they disconnected the keyless entry system the light worked fine. Any suggestions on how to get the dome light to work correctly with the keyless entry system still active?
