So, pulled the square handle under the dash to release the E brake and....snap! Brake release, and so did the handle. Seem the little plastic piece where the clip on the end of the brake cable fits into broke. Truck is under warranty, but still. I guess I don't know my own strength.
If I need to use the parking brake now, I'll have to release it by getting down there and pulling on the cable hard enough.
